July
Warm Weather: Colorado
During this hot summer month, we turn back to Colorado for an action-packed summer adventure around some of the most fantastic mountain views on the planet.
You’ll be sure to find your perfect match, from stunning ranches like Zapata and Smith Fork to luxury boltholes like Taylor River Lodge. Add in those picture-perfect mountain towns like Crested Butte, Aspen, Telluride, and Ouray, all linked by stunning back roads that cross high passes, and you have the perfect ingredients for the best summer road trip in the best US place!
Cold Weather: San Francisco
Among the country’s largest cities, this “best US place” tops the list for usually having the coldest weather each day in July and even August. San Francisco’s summer temp is barely above 60 degrees, whereas most major US cities average at least 70 °F during the hot summer months. One of the most significant events during this time is their large fireworks display over the Bay to celebrate our Independence Day, and fireworks are set off over the water near Fisherman’s Wharf.
If you’re looking for things to do, head over to Oracle Park to check out a game with the Giants. They play a bunch of home games during July. Also, many people opt for the cruises available, which take you all around the bay and under the Golden Gate Bridge. Other options include a wine-tasting cruise, a dinner cruise, or a high-speed ride on the Rocketboat.
