Cold Weather: Montana
How ’bout a winter road trip in one of the best US places? Head to Montana for a guided wolf safari and a wilderness dog sledding adventure! This three-day wildlife safari starts off just north of Yellowstone National Park. It focuses on finding and safely viewing Greater Yellowstone’s wintering wildlife, including the predators and the region’s big game.
Throughout this safari, there is a chance to catch a glimpse and photograph wolves, coyotes, foxes, bald eagles, elk, bison, mule deer, pronghorn, and mountain goats while learning about the geology, history, and ecology of the Yellowstone area.
You’ll spend your time in prime wildlife habitat both outside and within Yellowstone National Park, including places like Mammoth Hot Springs, Paradise Valley, the Blacktail Plateau, Little America, and the famous Lamar Valley, frequently referred to as the Serengeti of North America.

While the north rim may be closed from October to May, you can take a journey through the South Rim to experience the Grand Canyon in its winter glory before indulging yourself at the luxury desert getaway, Amangiri.
