The tranquility and timelessness of Kauai have long been revered by both locals and tourists. Hiking, snorkeling and kayaking are par for the course on the state’s oldest, northernmost island, to name a few activities.
The Kīlauea Volcano only has a minimal risk of eruption, so don’t be afraid to visit it. We think you’ll instantly fall in love with the picturesque views, just check with the locals before you head on over there.
There’s fun for all ages here, so whether you’re traveling as a couple of with your family, you’ll never get bored. Learn to dance the hula at the Smith Family Garden Luau, Polynesian Cultural Center, and then watch planetarium shows and participate in lava demonstrations at the Bishop Museum.
Of course, don’t forget there are plenty of beaches to lounge on- just don’t forget to apply sunscreen!
