Crater Lake, Oregon

Recognized in pictures by all but rarely visited, Crater Lake in Crater Lake National Park is a crown jewel of the National Parks, offering visitors various views, experiences, and destinations within the park’s borders.

Surrounded by stunning views everywhere you look, visiting Crater Lake is an adventure everyone should have at least once. So how about taking a road trip this year? While here, you’ll be greeted by one of the bluest waters in the country.

Southern Oregon’s historically famous Crater Lake was created by mother nature nearly 7,700 years ago by the collapse of an old volcano.

And even though its origin is tied to such a damaging natural event, the blue water, which is impossibly calm and pure, plunges to a depth of 1,943 feet.
