Hood River is such a scenic place you could easily spend all your time there just walking around orchards, agricultural areas, or around the river. The Indian Creek Trail or Waterfront Park are two wonderful places to spend hours upon hours around. If your feet will ever need a break, don’t forget there’s also the Mt. Hood Railroad Excursion Train which goes through the Upper Valley of Hood River or, alternatively, a cruise on the “Historic Columbia River Scenic Waterway” on the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler.

Feeling even more adventurous? Why not explore Mother Nature from above with the help of an airplane or glider?

Something tells us that as soon as you’ll get a taste of the Dalles Farmers Market, chestnut farms, vineyards, and fruit farms you’d like to take up permanent residency in Hood River, and who could blame you?

The Comfort Suites Hood River is exactly what it says on the tin, a comfortable place for singles, couples, or families. The all-suite hotel is located less than 2 miles from the Mount Hood Railroad. In addition to free WiFi and parking, you’ll also get free breakfast!
