As the oldest city in our country, St. Augustine was established in 1565. Besides being a low-cost option, the city boasts over 42 miles of fantastic beaches fronting the Atlantic Ocean for plenty of swimming, relaxing, and sand-castle building opportunities.
And if you’re traveling with kids, it offers a plethora of family-friendly activities that bring the area’s history to life. At the Pirate & Treasure Museum, you’ll learn about the history of pirates and colonial America through educational and interactive exhibits.
At the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park, a working archaeological dig on-site, visitors will learn about the city’s roots, and they’ll even get a chance to feed peacocks that roam the property.

Visited all except Raleigh and live 15 miles from Huntsville Al. Arizona is one of my favorites! In April I spent a week with family, touring Grand Canyon, Sedona and taking a hot air balloon ride! Williamsburg’s great for history buffs, San Antonio’s Riverwalk is fabulous and Colorado is amazing. Love to travel and have been to all 50 states.
You are very blessed to have traveled that much. I live in Winston Co. Alabama
You can drive to the top of Pike’s Peak from Colorado Springs.
All great places, I have been to most of them. I do question the cost estimate of the hotels. They seem really low.
great place went there every summer for 10 years
