HERITAGE PICK – The hotel was part of living history with Jawaharlal Nehru’s suite and the embassies of 13 countries. When the British made Delhi their capital in 1911 and Edward Lutyens was assigned to design New Delhi, he chose to build the hotel at the crossing of the Kings way and Queensway ceremonial boulevards.
