1. San Antonio, Texas
San Antonio is one of the fastest growing cities in our country, welcoming more than 26 million tourists each year. It is really popular for its Tex-Mex cuisine, fiestas, and marketplaces. This vibrant city hosts lots of attractions. From San Antonio River Walk, known also as Paseo del RÃo to the Alamo Roman Catholic Mission, there are plenty of things to visit here.
If you seek an awesome adventure, you should definitely take an underground tour at Natural Bridge Caverns, which are actually the largest known commercial caverns in the U.S. state of Texas. Also, if you’re interested in cowboy culture, just an hour away from San Antonio you will find a place that truly embraces country music, rodeos and ranches, named Bandera.

You have selected good choices. I have spent time in all places except Phoenix.
Be careful—some of these places have COVID spikes!
Good list! My wife and I have been to each of these cities and concur that they are great places to visit on a budget.
Have you considered St. Louis, Missouri as one of the best places to travel on a budget?
Forest Park has one of the best zoos in the country and it’s free, the Jewel Box is also free, there are free animal shows at the zoo. The St. Louis Arch is a great place and there are river boat rides down the Mississippi River just to name a few attractions. Sports fans will enjoy the St. Louis Cardinals baseball and football teams. Anheuser Bush Brewery gives tours. Many more attractions too numerous to name.
Listing in each top 10 things to do places each cost would have help me decide on where I want to go and what I want to do (Hotels, 5 star restaurants flavors of the city, comic clube, site seeing like tours on the river in San Antonio , theaters with upcoming shows like on Broadway or off Broadway, best tourist places to visit, ect.). Also each could be a revenue stream to subsidize your publication.
I wouldn’t recommend going to Philadelphia, Phoenix or Atlanta. I didn’t enjoy them. You would be better off going to Tucson than Phoenix. And just stay away from Philly and Atlanta.
