Located in the Bali Dynasty Resort, Gracie Kelly’s is Bali’s first ever Irish pub. It has its own door with a canopy before guests reach the lobby of the hotel from the parking lot. Green dominates the exterior while brown wooden furniture and bar fills up the interior, giving a warm vibe to the place. This pub is also adorned with decorations that will take you instantly to Ireland, from a poster of Hurling, an Irish sport, to a display of selections of cigars, liquors and tea.
This restaurant feels even homier as it serves simple Irish home cooking. The Dublin Bay Prawn Cocktail and Mammy Kelly’s Baked Potato Skin are perfect for starters. The first dish consists of freshly blanched prawns with meat so succulent, served with homemade Irish soda bread that is soft and airy. Meanwhile, the Mammy Kelly’s Baked Potato Skin will please your palate with crispy potato skins topped with smoked bacon and cheese.
For the main course, Gracie Kelly’s has a selection of pies to choose from such as Chicken and Mushroom Pie, Beef in Guinness Stout and Shepherd’s Pie. Fish and Chips and traditional Irish stew are also available, but it is the grill selection that is the main star of the menu. Choices of local and imported tenderloin, sirloin and rib eye are on offer. During our visit to the pub we decided to have the rib eye, and were excited to see the steak served on a sizzling hot stone along with vegetables and French fries as side dishes. Don’t forget Gracie’s Hot Sticky Pudding, which is made of date and served with sticky coffee sauce and vanilla ice cream for dessert.
Of course an Irish pub is not complete without some beer and other alcoholic drinks. Gracie Kelly’s has Guinness and Kilkenny draught beer as well as a number of fresh cocktails including coffee drinks like Irish Coffee, which is made with Irish whisky, and Bush Baby Coffee with Baileys.
