SET SAIL
Step back in time and play dress-up at the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, where kids will get a history lesson about how colonists dumped tea chests into the Boston Harbor in 1773 in protest of Britain’s taxes, one of the first defiant acts that roused Americans to war and independence.
Proving history doesn’t have to be boring, the museum features holographic and 3D exhibits, and little ones can re-enact the Boston Tea Party alongside a troupe of costumed actors as they sail on replica, tail ships around the harbour, tossing chests of tea into the water.
Teens will love the high-speed catamaran ride with Boston Harbour Cruise to prime whale-watching territory off Stellwagen Bank Marine Sanctuary, where they’ll get the chance to witness humpback, minke, finback and northern right whales spouting, breaching and belly-flopping and dolphins spinning and flipping as naturalists share their knowledge.
