PORTRAIT GALLERY OF THE GOLDEN AGE – Thirty colossal, 17th century group portraits can now be seen together for the first time in the Hermitage Amsterdam. These ‘brothers and sisters’ of the Night Watch are unique all over the world and are rarely exposed due to their size. They show us regents, chic guards and merchants of all ranks, social classes and religions, standing together as brothers. MUSEUM WILLET-HOLTHUYSEN – Museum Willet-Holthuysen tells the story of the prosperous couple Abraham Willet (1825-1888) and Louisa Willet-Holthuysen (1824-1895). Abraham and Louisa were the last inhabitants of this monumental property on the Herengracht. Their shared passion for art contributed to a wonderful 19th-century collection which is still on display in their house.
