Switzerland
Who wouldn’t want to go to Switzerland in winter? While we love the entire country, Davos is a ski resort town in the middle of the Swiss Alps. It has the highest elevation of any European city and is a wintery playground for all snow sports enthusiasts.
Here, you’ll be greeted with an endless amount of terrain that features long runs, wide slopes, and 185 miles of paths. Most resorts in this charming town are geared towards intermediate to advanced skiers, with some beginner slopes if you’re not that experienced.
And even though Davos can be a bit pricey, if you don’t mind splashing some cash, the town is one of the best European winter destinations for skiers.
