CUMMINS FALLS, TENNESSEE
Tennesse’s locals have known about the 282-acre Cummins Falls State Park for more than 100 years. But now, thanks to social media, the secret is out because the area has gotten many tourists in recent years.
A plus is that the hikes to the falls are fairly short, between one and one and a half miles, depending on which route you take. It’s also a bit steep, with considerable elevation shifts along the way.
However, the payoff for the more adventurous travelers is a 75ft waterfall which is the eighth-largest waterfall in the state by volume… At its base, you’ll find a spectacular, picture-worthy swimming hole.
