Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm, Woodburn, Oregon

If you dream of bouncing through never-ending fields of tulips, we’ve got you covered! Tulip farms are a perennial fan-favorite for color enthusiasts. Their happy blooms are large and bright, creating ripples of color when grown together.

So head to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn, Oregon, one of the biggest tulip farms in the Northwest, to see acres upon acres of land bursting with color during their annual tulip festival, which lasts from March to the beginning of May.

This farm is home to dozens upon dozens of assortments, and if you find some you love, you can even take some bulbs home to plant in your garden.

Havasupai Falls, Supai, Arizona

Havasu Falls, otherwise known as Havasupai, in Arizona, is a charming backpacking destination with waterfalls and some of the bluest water you’ll ever see.

In the Grand Canyon region, Havasupai’s brilliant turquoise waterfalls and pools are what Western American vacation dreams are made of. This watery wonderland is on the Havasupai Reservation and belongs to the Havasupai people.

Permits issued by the tribe are needed to visit, and you can buy them beginning in February of every year. But be aware that getting one can be competitive.

Although, the rewarding experience of strolling under these shimmering cascades makes it all worth it. And be sure to check for updates before planning any visit.

Grand Prismatic Springs, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

This natural spring is filled with piping hot water, which is deeper than a 10-story building! Made up of electrifying yellow, green, red, and orange shades, this is one of the most colorful places in the US.

Besides that, this hot spring is also one of the largest in the world, spanning the width of an actual football field and stretching ten stories in depth, and clearly one of its most colorful.

Rainbow rings encircle the scalding hot pool due to heat-happy microbes growing in its waters. The middle of the spring can reach about 189° F, creating an environment where nothing grows, hence the clear blue shade.

As the water moves further toward the shore, it begins to cool down, forming rings of green, yellow, orange, and red, depending on the temperature.

Fly Geyser, Gerlach, Nevada

If we were to tell you that there were 6-foot-tall, brilliantly colored geysers that splash boiling water over 5 feet into the air in the middle of the desert in Nevada, would you believe it? Don’t worry. We probably wouldn’t believe it either, but it IS true.

Nevada’s Fly Geyser is an accidental artificial wonder that has created a whimsically colored and incredibly shaped desert phenomenon that is a “MUST SEE” for Nevadans and travelers alike.

One of our country’s most remarkable natural wonders, Nevada’s Fly Geyser, hides in plain sight in Washoe County. Located on a private island, the geyser is layered in brilliant colors of green, yellow, red, and orange in a way you’ve never imagined before.

French Quarter, New Orleans, Louisiana

New Orleans’ French Quarter is world-famous for being one of America’s best places to eat, drink, and party. But travelers to this fantastic city would be remiss if they didn’t take the time to wander through the French Quarter beyond Bourbon Street.

Entering the French Quarter is like stepping into a different time period where history and modernity blend seamlessly. This neighborhood is a living history book illustrated by its cobblestone streets and a mix of Spanish and French architecture.

You’ll notice that the sounds of jazz fill the air, creating a vibrant atmosphere that’s distinctly New Orleans. You’ll find that each visit reveals something new, from the bustling Bourbon Street to the serene Mississippi Riverfront.

South Beach, Miami, Florida

The historical Art Deco district of South Beach in Miami is a pastel paradise. Here, you’ll see structures in soft hues of purple, yellow, pink, and blue that give this part of The Sunshine State’s most vibrant city a spellbinding, vintage feel.

It features more than 900 historic buildings that will have you feeling like you’re on a beach vacation with the great Gatsby himself.

And if you’re a big architecture lover, you’ll want to add this destination to your travel bucket list to visit the Art Deco Museum, where you’ll have the chance to learn all about the origins of these buildings and the many struggles that went into preserving them.

Waimea Canyon, Waimea, Hawaii

The stunning islands of Hawaii are made up of infinite, colorful natural wonders that you’ll wish you could always surround yourself with. Witnessing the Waimea Canyon is an underrated experience that belongs on your list of things to do in this lifetime.

It’s a must-see destination for everyone who loves hiking, nature, and breathtaking views. Also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, Waimea Canyon features some of the wettest places on this planet.

The Bluebonnets of Texas Hill Country, San Antonio, Texas

Near San Antonio’s doorstep is one of Texas’ most scenic treasures, Hill County, a low-key paradise loaded with rolling fields of bluebonnets and lavender, historically quaint towns, and little magical pockets of swimming holes, state parks, and nature preserves.

The bluebonnet happens to be Texas’ official state flower. And if you find yourself in the Texas Hill Country during March and April, you’ll understand why.

These fields come alive in spring with delicate white and bluebells, making for a downright delightful drive through the Lone Star State.

We recommend calling the Texas Department of Transportation Wildflower Hotline to find out when and where the flowers are predicted to hit their peak before checking this places off your travel bucket list.
