Plan on visiting a national park or two when the global pandemic is done and over with? Well, why not? We’ve been giving you recommendations of what to visit with your family or friends all this time, but we haven’t really focused on where you should be staying.

Today, in order to take the guesswork out of your hands, we’ve prepared a list of the most beautiful National Park hotels in the U.S. so that the next time you book your trip, you’ll already have a hotel candidate ready to book. Of course, you’re free to pick different accommodations, but we highly recommend these!

Old Faithful Inn, Wyoming

Located in Yellowstone National Park.

Planning on a visit to Yellowstone National Park? Well, why wouldn’t you? When you go, make sure to book a room at the Old Faithful Inn which has been operating since 1904.

Open from May through October, you’ll find no better accommodations in the area, as this hotel will truly make you feel like you’re in touch with nature for your city getaway while also providing modern amenities. As a side note, if you plan on visiting the park during the winter, you should book a room at the Old Faithful Snow Lodge.

Ever heard of parkitecture? This style of architecture aims to seamlessly blend park structures with their surroundings. As such, the Old Faithful Inn’s design works in harmony with the park we all know and love.

It’s known as the world’s largest log cabin, but one of the standout elements is the immense 85-foot-tall stone fireplace in the lobby. The Old Faithful Geyser can be viewed from the east-facing windows, a favorite among guests. To put it simply, this unique hotel is the perfect place to stay when visiting Yellowstone.

Zion Lodge, Utah

Located in Zion National Park.

For those of you who are planning to visit Zion National Park after the lockdown restrictions lift then you should definitely consider staying at the Zion Lodge.

Zion Lodge is the only lodge located within the pack boundaries, so you can go out and go exploring as soon as you wake up. You can pick between one of the 40 cabins with private porches or standard hotel rooms. All of them have the usual amenities, including flat-screen TVs if you want to unwind and watch some TV after a full day of walking around.

And trust us, there’s a lot to see in Zion National Park, including breathtaking views, wild animal life, beautifully singing birds, and trails that will leave you wanting more despite how tired you may feel after a hike.

La Quinta Resort & Club, California

Located in Joshua Tree National Park.

Seeing how the La Quinta Resort & Club is actually located 30 miles outside of Joshua Tree National Park, you might be surprised to find it on our list. Here’s the catch, though. You can now camp within the park boundaries thanks to the new package they offer.

The three-day package includes luxury tent accommodations, transportation in and out of the park, and overnight butler service- yes, you read that right. Even if you haven’t been a big fan of camping, this package will make sure that you’re comfortable all night long. There’s even a s’mores station.

So, if you can, you should definitely camp instead of staying at the resort as you’ll be rewarded with magnificent night sky views and overnight experiences you won’t be able to get anywhere else.

Volcano House, Hawaii

Located in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

Few things in life are as exciting as spending the night at the summit of a volcano. Well, you’ll be perfectly safe here, so don’t worry about it.

The iconic Volcano House is located near the Big Island’s Halema’uma’u Crater, close to the summit of Kilauea. You don’t have to worry about any volcanic activity, thankfully. All you have to do is spend your time enjoying the view and exploring the area. Luckily, the Volcano House can help, as they offer bike rentals and tours.

Speaking of views, you won’t find a better view no matter where you stay in Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park, so don’t miss this opportunity. On top of the historic rooms, you’ll also enjoy Hawaiian cuisine at the hotel’s restaurant, so basically you’ll be getting the perfect Hawaiian culture experience all in one go!

The Oasis at Death Valley, California

Located in Death Valley National Park.

Visiting Death Valley National Park doesn’t mean you have to give up on all the good things in life. The Oasis at Death Valley, on top of winning the name game, is by far one of the most luxurious hotels in southern California.

It’s actually comprised of two hotels, the Ranch at Death Valley and the Inn at Death Valley. Together, they form a beautiful complex complete with a spa, golf courses, and spring-fed pools.

They also offer activities and tours- for our more adventurous readers, consider going on a mountain bike ride, or visit ghost towns from the comfort of a jeep. While you’re not out exploring, the complex offers fantastic views of the park’s sunsets and rock formations.

El Tovar, Arizona

Located in Grand Canyon National Park.

If you want your Grand Canyon National Park visit to be truly outstanding, then you should definitely stay at El Tovar, situated no further than 20 feet from the Southern Rim.

Designed by Charles Whittlesey, this hotel features hand-built furniture, original drawings from the man himself, and Native American motifs. This Swiss-chalet-like building, built in 1905, was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987. But if we can’t convince you, perhaps this list of visitors will: Paul McCartney, Elizabeth Taylor, and Bill Clinton.

Fun fact: Paul McCartney was allegedly asked to keep his piano playing down during his visit.

Blackberry Mountain and Blackberry Farm, Walland, TN

Located in the Great Smoky Mountains.

A short, half-hour drive from Knoxville airport, you will find a pair of pastoral retreats known as Blackberry Mountain and Blackberry Farm. Despite the relative proximity to the airport and other cities, this location feels entirely separated from the hustle and bustle of the world.

Here you can unwind and get back in touch with nature while not giving up on your favorite activities. Rock climbing, trail running, biking, hiking, you’ll find it all at the mountain outpost. However, if you’re not THAT fitness-minded, you could spend more time at the farm, which offers a more formal experience.

Many Glacier Hotel, Montana

Located in Glacier National Park.

One simply cannot visit Glacier National Park without booking a room at the Many Glacier Hotel. Remember how for earlier entries we pointed out how the hotels has plenty of modern amenities? In this case, this hotel does not! You’d think this is a bad thing, but it’s in fact one of the reasons it’s so highly rated and loved.

No internet, No TVs. No air conditioning. When you visit the Many Glacier Hotel, you’ll be expected to truly enjoy your stay and make the most out of it while disconnecting from the real world.

It’s situated on the edge of Swiftcurrent Lake, so you’ll get stunning views to wake up to every single morning. You can join boat cruises, tours, and horseback riding throughout the day, then return to your suite or standard room for a well-deserved rest!

Crater Lake Lodge, Oregon

Located in Crater Lake National Park.

In terms of looks, we think the Crater Lake Lodge offers one of the best views in the U.S. It’s the only accommodation within the park’s borders, so you don’t have to worry about long car rides to get to and from the park when you feel like exploring.

Open from May to October, make sure to book a room with a lake view. During the day you can go swimming, fishing, hiking or just enjoying a pleasant walk around the lake. Feeling hungry? Have dinner in the lodge’s iconic dining room.

Exposed beams and spacious rooms give the lodge a perfectly rustic view that you’ll find hard to say goodbye to once your vacation is open.

The Ahwahnee, California

Located in Yosemite National Park.

Located in Yosemite National Park, this National Historic Landmark was built in 1927. The Ahwahnee is made up of 1,000 tons of steel, 5,000 tons of stone, and a whopping 30,000 feet of lumber. All of these materials were carefully carted through the mountains in the park’s early days. Now, the hotel stands as a pillar of human perseverance.

In terms of architecture, you’ll find a harmonious blend of Native American motifs and Art Deco. Interested in the view? Here you’ll find rooms with views of Glacier Point, Yosemite Falls, and Half Dome.

Because the lodge is actually open year-round, you can book your stay during less crowded seasons too!

Paradise Inn, Washington

Located in Mount Rainier National Park.

You know it, we know it- there’s no way that a place called Paradise Inn could be a letdown!

This place truly is heaven on earth, allowing you to disconnect from everyday life by offering smallish rooms with no TV, no access to the internet, and no phones. For those of you who need a true break, this could be the perfect place to book for that much-needed vacation.

Of note is the fact that you’ll also have to share a bathroom with the rest of the rooms in your hall. Some people may find it easier to give up internet access than sharing a bathroom, but others say that giving up on all these luxuries is a great way to truly live in the moment and remember your roots.

Inside, you’ll find cozy log furniture. Outside? Seemingly endless hiking trails and the best views of Mount Rainier that money can buy.

Jackson Lake Lodge, Wyoming

Located in Grand Tetons National Park.

Yet another great contender for the best views in the U.S., the Jackson Lake Lodge offers its guests a 60-foot panoramic lobby window unlike no other. The outdoor patio will allow you to experience the outdoors without having to venture too far away from the comforts of the hotel- hey, you might even see a friendly moose stroll by.

This particular lodge is ideal for visitors that want a more upscale experience. Though rustic, the Jackson Lake Lodge has got everything you’d ever want, including a heated outdoor swimming pool, several restaurants, and adventure outfitters.

Just keep in mind that it’s only open from May to September, so book accordingly!

Cavallo Point Lodge, California

Located in Golden Gate National Park.

If you’re planning on visiting the Golden Gate National Park, there’s no better place for you and your family to stay than at the Cavallo Point Lodge, which goes above and beyond when it comes to amenities.

Here you can borrow Lexus cars for easy travel, you can spend an entire day at an on-site spa and also join culinary sessions at its cooking school. To put it simply, this place is best for people who want to explore other activities than heading out for a day in the wild.

The contemporary digs have impressive modern furniture, gas fireplaces and are pet-friendly to boot! Or you could book one of their historic rooms, which also have stunning views!
