In the First Passage to the West; the rail route retraces the steps of 19th century explorers who first blazed a trail to the west This route explores a living history lesson on the building of a nation. Guests will board in Vancouver and journey through the farmlands of the Fraser Valley toa transforming landscape of the towering peaks of the Coast Mountains. The landscape changes once more into scrub bush and desert before an overnight stay in Kamloops. The journey continues along the South Thompson River and through the century-old Spiral Tunnels. En route to the alpine town of Banff or breathtaking Lake Louise are scenes of gushing waterfalls and gleaming glaciers.
Vancouver → Kamloops → Jasper
By geology standards, the Canadian Rockies are considered a relatively young mountain range. This journey takes guests through some of the most untouched, and awe-inspiring natural beauty on the planet The train journey begins just like First Passage to the West with an overnight stay in Kamloops. From Kamloops, however, the rail route will follow the North Thompson River, slowing to take in the cascading Pyramid Falls. From here, the train continues on past teal-green lakes towards Mount Robson, a mountain so high it has its own weather system. The journey ends off at the alluring alpine town of Jasper in Alberta.
Vancouver → Whistler → Quesnel → Jasper
The gold rush may be over but that are still many treasures to find along the way. On this journey, be taken from extreme to extreme in the best way possible. Journey from Coast Mountains along the scenic fjord of Howe Sound to arrive at Whistler in the early afternoon. The next day, travel up the Pemberton Valley and glide beside tfie gorgeous Anderson and Seton Lakes. Emerge through rugged cliffs into the ranchland near Quesnel, Canada’s gold rush capital. After an overnight stay in Quesnel, the train heads north again to reveal mountainous terrain, untouched lakes and incredible waterfells. The train climbs altitude to reveal Mount Robson as it winds towards Jasper.
Seattle → Vancouver → Canadian Rockies
Seamlessly connect from the port city of Seattle to the Canadian Rockies on this rail route that hugs the shoreline for incredible views of the Pacific Ocean, coastal rainforest and the Coast Mountains before it reaches the Canadian Rockies. After boarding, the train whizzes north past farms and forests of Puget Sound and the Salish Seas to reach the beachside city of White Rock.
