11. Zhangye Danxia Landform – China
The Zhangye Danxia Landform looks almost fictional. Stripes of red, orange, yellow, and green ripple across rolling hills.
The formations were created by millions of years of sediment layering and tectonic movement.
When sunlight hits at the right angle, the colors intensify dramatically.
