2. Bridalveil Fall—California
Bridalveil Fall greets visitors as they enter Yosemite Valley, cascading 620 feet down a sheer granite cliff. It’s one of the park’s most recognizable landmarks and one of its most accessible.
A short, paved walkway leads from the parking area to the base of the falls. In spring and early summer, snowmelt transforms the waterfall into a powerful torrent, filling the air with mist and creating a dramatic sensory experience. Even in drier months, the elegance of the falling water against Yosemite’s towering rock formations makes this stop worthwhile. You don’t need to commit to a backcountry hike to experience Yosemite’s grandeur—Bridalveil Fall delivers it almost instantly.
