4. Sedona – Arizona

Sedona’s red rock formations look almost cinematic, glowing at sunrise and sunset. While luxury resorts exist here, the area can absolutely be experienced on a modest budget.

Many of Sedona’s most stunning attractions—Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, and scenic byways—require little more than a parking pass and a good pair of walking shoes. Camping and budget motels help keep costs manageable.

The key is timing. Visiting mid-week or slightly outside peak summer dates can make a noticeable difference in lodging prices.
