FAQ

Questions we are asked often. If yours is not here, the contact page reaches our editorial team.

About the site

Who writes Must See Places?

A small editorial team rather than individually bylined writers, because articles are researched, drafted, checked and updated as a process involving more than one person. There is more on this in About.

Do you use AI to write articles?

We use AI tools in research and drafting, and we say so plainly. We do not publish unreviewed machine output — every article is reviewed by a person before it goes live, and the specific checkable claims in it are verified against primary sources. The full process is in our Editorial Policy.

Are the photographs real?

Some images are AI-generated or stock photography, used to illustrate a subject. They are not documentary records of a place at a moment in time, and we do not use them as evidence for a factual claim about how somewhere looks today.

Using the information

How current are the prices and opening hours?

They are what we found when we checked, in the currency stated, and they age. Fees rise, seasonal timetables change, sites close for restoration. Always confirm with the operator before you travel, especially for timed-entry tickets, which increasingly sell out ahead.

Can I rely on your accessibility information?

We report what the operator states about step-free routes, accessible parking and similar provision. Provision changes and individual needs differ, so if access is critical to your visit, confirm directly with the site.

Do you cover visa and entry requirements?

Only in general terms. Entry rules depend on your nationality and circumstances and change frequently, so we point to your own government’s guidance — such as the U.S. Department of State or the UK FCDO — rather than paraphrasing rules that may be out of date by the time you read them.

I found something wrong. Will you fix it?

Yes, and we would like to know. Use the contact page and include the article’s URL — we publish thousands of pages, and the link saves a lot of guesswork. Every correction is checked, and articles are updated when one stands up.

Money and advertising

How is the site funded?

Advertising. There is no paywall and no subscription. The details are in our Advertiser Disclosure.

Do advertisers influence what you write?

No. Advertisers do not choose our topics, see drafts, or have coverage changed. We do not sell sponsored round-up placements. Where an article contains an affiliate link, that is disclosed on the article.

Can I advertise, or work with you?

Enquiries are welcome through the contact page.

Reuse and privacy

Can I republish your article or use your images?

Not without permission. Ask through the contact page, saying what you would like to use and where it would appear.

How do I change what data you collect, or delete it?

Our Privacy Policy explains what is collected and how to change your consent choices. California residents can also use Do not sell my personal information.

How do I stop receiving emails?

Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or the unsubscribe page.
