The Dry Tortugas are actually a small group of islands, located in the Gulf of Mexico at the end of the Florida Keys. This national park surrounded by crystal clear waters is heaven on earth. However, it is only accessible by boat or seaplane.

The park is famous for the abundant sea life, tropical bird breeding grounds, colorful coral reefs, and legends of shipwrecks and sunken treasures. Here you’ll also find Fort Jefferson National Monument which was designated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt under the Antiquities Act on January 4, 1935.
